I was born in Tarnów, a small city about 70 km (45 miles) east of Kraków. Some time in the future I will obtain an exact sattelite fix of my birthplace and post it here for all geeks to see.

I was born on May 9th, 1968, which makes me an instance of class Taurus.
I sometimes act as one - instead of running through an open door, I run through adjacent solid wall leaving a huge hole and destroyed building behind...

I went to the oldest high school in Poland - high school #1 (Nowodworek) in Kraków. Full name of the school is I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Bartłomieja Nowodworskiego. Maltese Cross is a symbol of the school - the founder was a Maltese Knight.

In 1986 I passed my maturity examination in Nowodworek and begun my studies towards MSc degree in Computer Science at the University of Mining and Metallurgy in Kraków. In December 1991 I graduated with honors from my university.

Next few years I spent working in few places, like my university, my own software company called Callisto. Callisto, one of Jupiter's moons, was discovered by Galileo Galilei and named after a nymph from ancient greek mythology. The picture of Callisto on the left was taken by space probe Galileo.

In the beginning of 1998 I moved to the United States of America. I now live in Duluth, a suburb of Atlanta, GA. Being in the USA I enjoy travelling the world, learning to fly and having fast Internet access in my house (of course I enjoy many other things, too, but these are my favorites, by far). I am lacking, however, a crowded, bustling city center, european style (like Kraków, Vienna, Brussels, even London). There is nothing like this in Atlanta.

But travelling is the way to enjoy America to its fullest. Not only travelling the States. The airfares sometimes work wonders - the flight to Cape Town, Republic of South Africa can be cheaper than a flight to New York.
