So, you are interested in my interests?

That's good! Read on.
My hobbies are changing constantly. Does it mean anything? No, there are just 24 (twenty-four) hours in a single day. One cannot just fit everything in such a small spot. However, I just may be a strange person.

  • For the first thing - I do not watch TV. At all. Not even an hour a month. I do not even have TV service in my house. I am not completely TV-free person however, because I stare occassionally at the TV screen i.e. while standing in the check-in line at the airport ;-)

  • I am proud to be one of these lucky persons, whose work is their hobby. I am really into computers and programming, I like it, I enjoy it and I earn my bread doing it. More about my work - follow a work link on your left. My extracurricular computer activities include playing games (especially immortal Might and Magic series), system administration (I am a voluntary sysadm for several virtual domains) and random web browsing.

  • Travelling is an old hobby of mine. I have been to quite a lot of places around the globe. Speaking continent-wise I have not visited only Australia and Antarctica. I have prepared a collection of pictures from these trips, with commentary, but it is in Polish. I am waiting for a decent Polish-English translating program to do the traslation for me :-) Follow http://www.zdjeciamajorkow.com/ link to see the pictures. If you are located in Poland, you no longer have a choice, as the polish mirror went down due to circumstances completely out of my control.

  • Flying obtained official hobby status very recently. I have started my private pilot license course in July 2000. In September I have flown the "first solo", meaning that I was allowed to take-off in an airplane without an instructor present. On June 6, 2001 I passed my private pilot checkride. I have been checked out on several airplanes (Cessna 172R, Cessna 172N, Alarus CH-2000, Piper Cherokee PA28-140, Piper Arrow PA28-200R). I am currently (January 2002) nearing completion with instrument rating course. But these cross country hours come in sloooow :) I need to have 50 hours of cross-country to be able to attend instrument checkride.

  • Electronics was my hobby since I was about fifteen. It has been dormant for almost ten years due to lack of time to pursue it. I have recently rediscovered this particular hobby due to a need for electronics handyman work in the house full of electronic gadgets. I even have some pictures of my electronics workshop located in my basement.

  • These four above mentioned hobbies take up good percentage of my free time, so there is little spare time left to pursue other hobbies. I still read books, though. My favourites are: Robert Jordan's Eye of the World series, all works by Arkadij and Borys Strugacki, Isaac Asimov's Robot and Foundation series. I tend to collect books that I like, so I rather purchase than swap. My library gets bigger almost every week. I wish I had so much free time to read all these books :-)
